Thank you to those parents and families who were able to attend the Assessment meeting on Tuesday 30th June. The meeting was held because this is such an important issue which is the result of the significant changes the DfE have made to both the National Curriculum and the assessment system. It is also important as the information shared will help parents and carers to understand the information coming out in the school reports next week.
I appreciate this is not the same as hearing the information first hand therefore, do please raise any questions you have directly with me. I am aware there is some misinformation being shared which will only create unnecessary anxiety for parents and carers.

A message from PTFA
Dear parents, carers, governors and staff,
Phil the Bag
We are pleased to announced that we collected 108 bags on the 5th June 2015 and that the Phil the Bag collection weight was 481kg which raised £162.80.
75% of the profit will go to the school PTFA and 25% to Kaleidoscope Childcare.
You have therefore helped raised £122.10 for the PTFA and £40.70 for Kaleidoscope.
Well done to everyone that donated items on the day.
Toy Tombola Donations (Summer Fete)
A huge thank you to everyone that has donated toys for the summer fete so far.
Whilst we have got off to a great start the toy tombola is a very popular stall at the fete and prizes sell out fast. We would still welcome further donations so will continue to collect items this week as well. New or As New item only please.

Power up to Recycle Challenge
The ‘Power Up To Recycling Challenge’ is back for a 4th year, however, this year rewards are available! We will be rewarded with vouchers towards school resources based on the weight of the batteries we collect. The challenge runs from 1st September 2015 to 8 January 2016. So from September, please send all your old batteries in with your child to place in the collection box at the playground door.
