We have been putting some of our maths learning into practice during Forest School! We each had to collect 10 leaves from the ground that we liked. Then we got into groups of six and made bar charts and pictograms with our leaves! We put them into order of colour, size and leaf type. Can you guess what each of the charts are about?
Then Miss West and Mrs Luckhurst gave us the challenge of putting ourselves into height order but....without talking!! How do you think we did?
We have had a fantastic Forest School experience with Mrs McQuillan this term. We have continued to learn about Ancient Greece and the foods that they eat. In summer, they would have a lot of fruit and vegetables in their diet. So, we made Greek vegetable kebabs!!
We learnt how to make a fire, how to chop vegetables safely, how to cook them safely on the fire and we also created our own stalls and shops for Greek food. It was so much fun!
Our Class Book this term
This term our class novel is 'There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom' from the wonderful author Louis Sachar. It is about a boy named Bradley who gets F's in school, doodles on his work and says mean things to girls. No one likes him. Until Carla and Jeff join the school.
This term we are learning about Ancient Greece in our History, Geography and English lessons! On the 20th October we are having some very special guests coming to the school just to visit Bear Class (Please look out for a letter to be sent home). It will be an exciting day with lots of interesting costumes and interactive activities to enjoy and help us to learn even more.
