  • Family Liaison Officer (Useful Links)

Welcome to our school community! My name is Mrs Blake and I have been part of the Aldington family since 2014. I am delighted to introduce myself as the Family Liaison Officer at Aldington Primary. I am very much looking forward to working with you and supporting your child/children throughout their school journey.

In my role, I work closely with families, pupils, and staff to strengthen the connection between home and school. In addition to being the Family Liaison Officer, I am also an ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Advisor) and Drawing and Talking Practitioner, providing social and emotional support to our children when needed. I work with them to overcome worries, friendship issues or other situations such as a family bereavement or specific anxiety issues, giving them the confidence and coping strategies to improve their wellbeing and success at school.

My goal is to ensure every family feels welcomed, supported, and informed. Whether you are needing a confidential chat over a cup of tea, supporting your child’s learning at home, accessing additional support services, or simply knowing who to contact, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

We strongly believe that children thrive when families and schools work together. I am committed to building positive relationships and creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all our children and their families.

You are welcome to contact me via the school office on 01233 720247 or by email on Flo@aldington.kent.sch.uk - I am also available most mornings on the playground before school starts.

I look forward to meeting you and working together to support your child’s learning and growth.

    Warm regards,

    Mrs Blake

Knowing how to respond to questions or recognise age-appropriate behaviours in children can be difficult, but absolutely key to the development of healthy sexual behaviours. The above leaflets give some very informative advice about what is acceptable and healthy, and what could be potential harmful.

Talking about children and sexual behaviours isn't always easy, but please take the time to read and understand the "normal" behaviours children can and do exhibit.

NSPCC's "Let's Talk PANTS" campaign is a fantastic guide on how to have simple conversations with our children to encourage them to stay safe. Click on the relevant links above to find out more.
The NSPCC also offer some helpful and informative guidance on age appropriate sexual behaviours. Visit the below link to find out more.
If you are a parent or carer, we hope you will find the web links below useful.
