Procedure for Entrance into Secondary Education from September 2024
Key Dates 2023-2024
1st June 2023 - Registration for the Kent Grammar Test opens
3rd July 2023 (midnight) - Registration for the Kent Grammar Test closes
1st September 2023 - Application for secondary Transfer opens
7th September 2023 - Test date for Kent Primary Schools
18th October 2023 - Kent Test Assessment Decisions emailed to Parents after 4pm (letters posted by first class)
31st October 2023 - National Closing Date for Secondary Application Forms (SCAF)
1st March 2024 - National Offer Day (school places sent to parents - email after 4pm, letters posted by first class)
15th March 2024 - Parents must confirm whether or not they accept or refuse the offer with the school.
15th March 2024 - Parents must confirm whether or not they wish to join a school's waiting list with their Local Authority.
28th March 2024 - By this date Parents must lodge an appeal with the Local Authority.
25th April 2024 - Re-allocation takes place - any vacancies filled from waiting lists - parents can make extended preferences direct to schools.
